Golden Mountain Bike Park started with a simple idea: build a safe real bike park for the kids, families, and riders of Baker City. A place to get outside, learn new skills, and spend time together. A community-built space that gives people a reason to show up, challenge themselves, and have fun.
The name Golden Mountain is rooted in the history of Baker City and the spirit that built this place. It’s a nod to the grit, adventure, and hard work that have always been part of Eastern Oregon.
We believe biking should be accessible to everyone, from first-time riders to seasoned locals. That’s why we’re working to create a park that’s welcoming, progressive, and adaptive; designed for kids, teens, families, and riders of all abilities to enjoy together.
This project is powered by local volunteers and operated under Baker Loves Bikes, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on growing bike culture, outdoor recreation, and healthy community spaces in Baker City.
More than dirt jumps and pump tracks, Golden Mountain Bike Park is about giving people a place to connect; with each other, with the outdoors, and with the next generation of riders coming up behind them.
